About Michelle

A multifaceted broadcaster, Michelle has spent almost fifteen years in major market radio and television on both the local and national level and most recently was the host of "After Hours with Michelle Jerson" heard Monday through Thursday nights on New Jersey 101.5 FM, the largest FM talk station in the nation.  She also filled in on new IQ 106.9 FM in Philadelphia until the station was able to put on Rush Limbaugh.  She has hosted talk shows on CBS Radio's WJFK in Washington D.C., and Sirius Satellite Radio. Matt Katz of the Courier Post wrote, Michelle tells it like it is...a Dr. Judy for the new generation.

Michelle was part of radio history when Howard Stern moved from terrestrial to satellite radio. As one of the original reporters for Howard 100 news, Howard Stern's news team, she covered events such as Howard's final show at the KRock rally to issues surrounding Stern's health and relationship.

Additional talk radio work includes stepping in as host for "Our Time," a topical lifestyle and entertainment talk show on Sirius and Vancouver's CFUN 1410am, filling in on Greenstone Media's morning show, "The Radio Ritas," and anchoring the news on Martha Stewart's Morning Living Radio. Before breaking into talk, Michelle entered the world of music radio. Knowledgeable in many types of music, from dance and pop to rock and country, she co-hosted a top 40/ rock morning show on B98.5 in New Jersey and was a jock on two country stations, New York City's Y107 and Long Island's WMJC.

As an in studio television traffic reporter, Michelle has worked for WCBS-TV in New York and FOX 29, NBC 10, CBS 3, and UPN 57 in Philadelphia. She was also heard on most of the tri-state area radio stations, including 1010 WINS, Bloomberg, and WFAN.

Most recently, Michelle was given the opportunity to combine her travel expertise with her media background, and was hired as the television and radio anchor and correspondent for the largest online publisher of travel deals, Travelzoo.com. She appeared on local and national television and radio stations to discuss travel trends and deals. She anchored their webcasts, highlighting the best deals of the week, and hosted feature pieces on such topics as pet friendly travel. She's anchored travel internet newscasts for Modernagent.com and worked as a field reporter, interviewing top tourism officials.  

Michelle formed PassportRomance.com as a way to combine her background as a relationship talk show host and her love and expertise of travel.  She is always eager to discover new destinations, resorts and activities and share them with her listeners and readers.
